I have always loved magazines. My room is filled with piles of all kinds of glossies but THANKS to the ZINIO app I get to have all my mags in one place without the clutter and sometimes the digital versions are even cheaper than the print ones (with ZINIO you can also access your mags on your desktop whether it’s a MAC or PC).
These have been four of my fave reads so far this month. I love magazines that focus on physical, emotional and spiritual well being (things I find myself thinking about more and more as I get older) without trying to hard to sell you stuff or convince you that you should believe a certain idea.
To simplify things here’s a breakdown of each one:
SPIRITUALITY & HEALTH
The name gives you a pretty good idea of what the articles in this mag are about but it is so much more than what you’re thinking. What I LOVE about this mag is that they are spiritually independent that is they do not only cater to one religion. They are open and accepting of all forms of spirituality, from organized religion to those who have their own spiritual practice. In addition to physical health they also focus on emotional, mental and spiritual health.
YOGA JOURNAL
I am the world’s biggest wannabe yogi (one of those who owns a mat, is subscribed to GAIAM TV and does absolutely no Yoga). That being said, I think this magazine is so much more than just yoga poses. There are recipes, articles about Ayurveda, spiritual and emotional health.
WELL BEING
This Aussie gem is chock full of a variety of articles on food, beauty and all facets of health and as the name implies…well being.
NATURAL HEALTH
I love the simplicity of Natural Health, the easy to read layout and digestible but informative articles. There is also an Aussie edition which I sometimes get because…why not?
